Client Work

A client approached me to design a watermark for his photography business. David Clauson specializes in capturing the raw, textured quality of weathered urban environments. His work explores themes of reflection, repetition, and high contrast compositions. The images to the right highlight my process, starting with messy pencil sketches and moving through digital iterations until we reached the final mark displayed above. We landed on a pictorial mark that highlights the themes of his work while also mirroring the shutter of a camera lens. The final touch was mirroring his photography’s weathered aesthetic within the combination wordmark.
